SEO is a confusing venture for most people. Even many so-called-experts can have a difficult time keeping a website
at the top of the search engines.
Primary... the search engines are constantly changing their algorithms in an effort to bring you the the majority of
relevant website listings for your search query. Yahoo also change their algorithms to stay ahead of the dishonest
companies that quickly figure out how to manipulate the search outcomes.
When the search engines change the direction they list websites, you can find unscrupulous people who go right to
work trying to figure out how to cheat the system.
These people are using what's known as "Black Hat SEO" and if you are trying to run the best website, keep away
from them at all expense! Sure your website will receive a high listing rather easily using black hat solutions, but as
soon as the search engines figure out what you're doing, they will likely ban your website from them listings

But it doesn't mean the authority of your site will get you indexed for you main keywords.
You can find thousands, perhaps even millions, of websites that contain a low page rank, but are listed over the first
page of the major search engine listings (including Google), for many top keywords. By contrast, you can find just as
many high PR ranking internet pages, which were buried in "no mans land" when it comes to the search engines
(which include Google).
Also, the other major search engines (Gmail, WINDOWS LIVE MESSENGER, Bing, and many hundreds smaller search
engines) don't really like your "Google Page Rank" whatsoever. They only like giving their visitors relevant search
So pay close attention to this... does one rather have a small Google PR of several, and become listed on the first
page in the search results? Or does one rather have a high PR of 5 and 6, and be listed on the tenth page in the
search results, where no one will ever find people..? I do believe the answer is obvious.
Among the list of websites I built for my other online business, hasn't had a Google PR of more than 2 for the
previous 4 years (considering it's been live on the internet). But it has been on the first page of all major search
engines (with regard to my main keywords) for 3 1/2 of those 4 years. I'll take the lower PR and keep your high listing
any day with the week.
